My journey to Special Kids Camp Ability began many years ago when I started my Early Childhood Education career as a preschool teacher, then director, and eventually a small business owner.  Over the last 20+ years of my career, I had the opportunity to share life’s up-and-downs with many families and I cherished every experience.  In 2014, God called me for another purpose, working with special needs children.  After a lot of prayer and much consideration, I decided to close the preschool and follow God’s leadership by accepting a position at Oakland High School CDC and found my true passion and purpose.  In 2016, I joined Camp Ability and was amazed at how God was working in and through the program, campers, staff, and volunteers.  I am excited to bring my experience and talents to lead this exceptional program, Camp Ability, and look forward to new relationships and experiences this adventure has in store.

When I am not working, I am a wife to a retired Metro Police Officer turned farmer and mother of three.  In my free time, I love photographing God’s amazing creation and drinking coffee on the porch overlooking our farm.
