  • diagnosis and evaluates speech and language skills and provides treatment to children
  • compiles session data and maintains timely and accurate patient reports
  • programs and provides instruction on the use of AAC devices
  • collaborates with other disciplines to incorporate speech and language goals into daily activities
  • ability to develop, write, and implement a treatment plan
  • basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software and web-based applications such as electronic medical records


  • master's degree in Communication Disorders or other Speech-Language Pathology program
  • current, unencumbered license and registration to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in TN, Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, and CPR certification
