Therapeutic Education & Medical Monitoring (TEAMM) is a peer-modeling program designed to provide developmental help for children receiving nursing services in preparation for kindergarten and school. Currently, TEAMM utilizes children of Special Kids' staff members and typically developing siblings of nursing children to serve as the peer models throughout the day. This program provides an inclusive environment that promotes learning, growing, and becoming more independent.

TEAMM incorporates activities for handwriting, alphabet recognition, active play, and fine motor skills. Every child receiving nursing services is automatically enrolled and placed in our developmentally appropriate classrooms where they are included in educational activities modified to fit their needs. TEAMM is a not a day care or preschool, but a kindergarten readiness program that provides therapeutic education to our nursing children.
